Let’s take a look at our top “Booms and Busts” for the second week:
Booms
Larry Fitzgerald (WR-ARI) – The Colts defense is awful, and even without David Johnson the Cardinals are going to bounce back in a big way. Look for Fitz to get a ton of targets against a weak IND secondary.

Brandin Cooks (WR-NE) – Revenge game? Check. Tom Brady playing the same defense that just got shredded by Sam Bradford? Check. Cooks builds upon his strong Patriots debut and speeds past the Saints.
Christian McCaffrey (RB-CAR) – The Panthers have said they may limit McCaffrey’s touches this week, but even so he’s got a great opportunity to expose a defense that gave up 12 points to the Jets Week 1.
Busts
Matt Stafford (QB-DET) – Very strong game Week 1 against a Cardinals defense that is usually very strong. However, don’t be surprised if he doesn’t keep that streak going on Monday Night Football in the Meadowlands. The Lions face the Giants whose defense seems to be the only unit working after Week 1. They’ll be eager to bounce back after a disappointing opener against the Cowboys, and will give the Lions a very hard time in prime time.
Demaryius Thomas (WR-DEN) – The Cowboys defense was able to shut down what is supposed to be a pretty solid Giants offense on Sunday Night. Trevor Siemian is not going to fare much better, and will have trouble getting the ball to his receivers.
The entire Indianapolis Colts offense – Hate to pick on these guys, and actually think they will have pretty strong seasons once Andrew Luck returns. The problem is that no one knows when that is, and the Cardinals defense will not play like they did against the Lions last week. Continue to stay away.
