Waiver Wire aka STUD FINDER – Week 9

TRADE DEADLINE DAY!!! A couple moves that will have an impact on the waiver wire this week. The following players should be the top waiver wire priorities for Week 9.

Keep in mind, only players with an asterisk are “must-adds” for the week. The other players are ones that can be added if you need a bye-week replacement or depth at that particular position, and are in order of our preference.

QB

Another weak week for QB pickups, so we’ll give you the top few streaming options again:

Drew Stanton (ARI) @ San Francisco

Jay Cutler (MIA) vs Oakland

RB

*Alex Collins (BAL) – The NFL leader in yards per carry, Collins continues to get work in a banged up backfield. Danny Woodhead is on the mend and may be back after the bye week, but Collins should continue to get enough touches to be playable.

*Kenyan Drake & Damien Williams (MIA) – Jay Ajayi is headed to Philadelphia, opening up the RB1 spot in Miami. It’s unclear which back will take over the starting role, but Drake and Williams should be added in all formats regardless.

*Alfred Morris & Darren McFadden (DAL) – On this list earlier in the year, both Dallas backups are top pickups again this week. Uncertainly regarding Zeke Elliott remains, but if he does miss time Morris and DMC are must-adds. However, if when Zeke is active, both are unplayable. This is a situation to continue monitoring.

WR

*JuJu Smith-Schuster (PIT) – On our list last week, this is your last chance to get JuJu. He had a monster game against a tough Lions secondary, and could be the WR2 for the Steelers going forward. Martvais Bryant is still lingering, but seems to have fallen completely out of favor with coach Mike Tomlin.

JuJu's bike

*Corey Davis (TEN) – Davis and Marcus Mariota should both be close to 100% coming out of the bye, and this has the potential to be a very dynamic duo.

Paul Richardson (SEA)

TE

Jack Doyle (IND)

Vernon Davis (WAS)

DEF

*Buffalo Bills @ New York Jets – Coming off of a bye week, they were likely dropped in many leagues. Yes, the Jets have shown some promise throughout the season, but the Bills have a legitimately good defense and will be a good play the rest of the way. Scoop them if they hit the wire during Week 8.
