Waiver Wire aka STUD FINDER – Week 5

Your lineup hobbled by injuries? Looking to scoop the top waiver wire add for the week? The following players should be the top waiver wire priorities for the week.

Keep in mind, only players with an asterisk are “must-adds” for the week. The other players are ones that can be added if you need a replacement or depth at that particular position, and are in order of our preference.

QB

*Deshaun Watson (HOU) – Don’t bank on him to put up 5 TDs every week, but the talent Watson has is undeniable. With weapons like DeAndre Hopkins and Will Fuller, as well as the ability to make plays on this own, Watson should provide consistent returns for those that have him.

RB

*Latavius Murray (MIN) – Dalvin Cook’s season ending ACL injury is brutal. There isn’t much talent left in the Vikings backfield, but Murray is the best option here. Never especially effective or exciting, Murray will still be the lead back for the Vikings going forward and will get lots of touches each game. For that reason alone, he is a good add, particularly for those folks that lost Cook.

Wendell Smallwood (PHI)

Alvin Kamara (NO)

Wayne Gallman (NYG)

Thomas Rawls & Eddie Lacy (SEA)

Aaron Jones & Jamaal Williams (GB)

WR

*Devin Funchess (CAR) – Listed on our post last week, Funchess is the clear favorite to get a majority of the Cam Newton targets initially reserved for Greg Olsen. Probably your last chance to get him in most leagues.

Will Fuller V (HOU)

TE

*Evan Engram (NYG) – The Giants throw the ball a lot, and he gets many of those targets. Enough said. Scoop him, if you haven’t already.
